Job Change in The Portal

Job Change is The Portal’s class respec system. It lets you abandon Warrior, Defender, Enchanter, or Cleric for another archetype, but the game deletes all moves you learned on the old class. No partial refund, no legacy skill bar. Players who treat Job Change like a casual respec in other MMORPGs lose dozens of hours of progress. What Job Change does

When you complete Job Change at the appropriate NPC or hub station:

1. Your class switches to the new selection (Warrior STR, Defender VIT, Enchanter INT, Cleric WIS).
2. Learned moves from the previous class are removed entirely.

Combat Points from gear, achievements, and codex generally remain, but move-based CP from skills vanishes with deleted moves.

What Job Change does NOT do

• Restore spent gold on old skill books
• Convert move levels into vouchers

When Job Change makes sense

Good reasons:

• You confirmed a better race-class pairing via Race-class tier list after extensive reading
• Your party permanently needs a Cleric and you volunteered with acceptance of the grind

• One bad dungeon run
